The alliance will provide technology solutions to allow international companies to access advertising resources on China’s most popular search engine. Pearl Research believes the partnership will help Baidu to increase its visibility to western clients and increase its ad sales while diversifying its revenue streams.
Baidu is famous for its less transparent algorithm compared with Google; it doesn’t provide search API either. (actually so far as I know, it does have API and one agency claims they are the only one who has the API though it’s not good.) I believe the partnership would boost Baidu’s sales as well as giving Omniture another sword in the market.
