Starting August 21, Baidu has started promoting its Internet video advertising among Baidu network websites. According to Sohu IT, Baidu has more than 150,000 network partners with over 5,000 advertisers advertising.

Baidu TV has three formats:

• Floating video ads

when user opens the web page, the video ad flows out from the lower right corner and it closes when it completes playing.

• Embedded video ads

the ads are embedded at a fixed location of the web page.

• Inserted vdieo ads in video portal sites

the ad is played before showing the video.
There are three services provided for Baidu TV:

• Video business card
• Business video hosting. The video function is added into the company’s own website.
• Search Video. This one is like normal PPC. The video shows up before the visitor is brought to the destination URL.

Baidu officially launched Baidu TV last week.
