According to iResearch’s report, China online travel booking has reached US$72.4 million in quarter two, with 25% increase. Ctrip remains the market leader in online travel booking and its Q2 sales reached about US$41 million with more than 62 million visits. eLong was after etrip in Q2 with a 24.2 million visits.
ctrip and elong are working very hard to grab more market share from each other. During my last trip to China this July, I saw ctrip and elong sales staff giving away membership card telling people that they can get like 20% to 80% discount.
